BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 480-430 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.77 g, 11 h). [ϘPO] Tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet. Rev. Incuse eagle flying left, leg in relief. Attianese 56 var. (ethnic). HN Italy 2108. SNG ANS 293. Nicely toned and with a beautiful reverse. Some traces of corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
